KICK THE CAN CREW - Sayonara Sayonara

(行けるなら行っときな)get a chance!

Why this website?

To be honest, I'm not a fan of this song at all. The only things I appreciate are the production choices. I love how the producer picked the sample from 'Ataraxia Part 1' by Passport (Klaus Doldinger's band) and pitched it up. That original sound is amazing, and the pitch they chose works perfectly. The drum beat is also solid, and the idea to use that sample was brilliant. However, everything else about this track is complete garbage and belongs in the trash.

Klaus Doldinger is a legendary German saxophonist and composer, celebrated as a pioneer of European jazz fusion. In 1971, he founded the influential band Passport, which became Germany's most successful jazz-rock ensemble. Often compared to American counterparts like Weather Report, Passport was known for its innovative sound, blending jazz, rock, funk, and electronic elements, prominently featuring the Moog synthesizer. With Doldinger as its only constant member, the band released a series of acclaimed albums throughout the 1970s, including Cross-Collateral (1975) and Ataraxia (1978), gaining international recognition. Beyond his work with Passport, Doldinger is also a world-renowned film composer. He created the iconic and unforgettable soundtracks for Wolfgang Petersen’s classic films "Das Boot" (1981) and "The NeverEnding Story" (1984), cementing his legacy in both the jazz and cinematic worlds.
